Welcome to our monthly newsletter, this section will detail the trips that we have made over each month and the fish that we have caught. We hope you enjoy the reports, pictures and tips.

 

October 2010:

Out last week - thank god the fish are about. Cod, whiting, dogfish, over 50 fish caught in all. Keep checking back for our next update.

 

June 2010:

In the month of June fishing was hard, but we sought out tope to 20lb, smooth hounds to 15lb and some skate. Bass have been few and far between. Disappointingly we have only managed to catch bass at up to 5lb. But we will still keep trying as we always do to upgrade our marks and keep our clients up to date with the fishing situation on Highlander.

May 2010:

Our biggest fish caught this month was a Skate weighing in at a huge 21 ½ lbs! Given the weather that we had in early May we found that certain types of fishing were quite slow, but Skate was excellent.

We had a great diversity of people join us on the boat this month; most notably were a group of Eastern European friends. We found it interesting that they refrained from letting us gut the fish as they utilised every precious part of the Skate they caught, and they did get a tremendous catch!
